The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has appointed South African coach Nic Pothas as the consultant coach of the national cricket team ahead of the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 series in Scotland.
In a press release issued today, CAN confirmed Pothas’s appointment, noting that his expertise will support the team’s preparation and performance during the triangular series.
Pothas brings significant international coaching experience, having previously worked with the national teams of Sri Lanka, the West Indies, and Bangladesh. His appointment is expected to provide strategic guidance and professional insight as Nepal gears up for a critical phase in the League 2 competition.
Nepal will face Scotland and the Netherlands in the Tri-Nation Series scheduled from June 2 to 12 in Scotland.
CAN expressed confidence that Pothas’s involvement will contribute to a stronger showing by the Nepali team, aiming to enhance overall performance during the tournament.
