The National Examinations Board (NEB) has confirmed that Grade 12 examinations will be held as planned from May 4 to 16, following recent disruptions caused by teachers' protests.
Originally slated to begin on April 24, the exams were postponed after nationwide demonstrations led by the Confederation of Nepalese Teachers. However, the NEB announced that an agreement has since been reached, allowing exams to proceed at designated centers without further delay.
In an official statement, the board also warned against misinformation being circulated on social media, particularly the unauthorized use of its logo. NEB clarified that it does not operate a Facebook page and urged the public to rely only on its official website for verified updates.
The board has called on exam superintendents, teachers, staff, security agencies, parents, media personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure all remaining preparations are completed and to cooperate in conducting the examinations in an orderly and dignified manner.
